Wow, this is great. I was literally, just now just trying to add all the slide show and caption stuff. This makes my day. I'm looking forward to testing it out.

Alright I've got it working, and haven't encountered any bugs. Some behavior I'd love to see added (that I didn't see in the ToDo:

1) Add album titles to thumbnails when gallery is viewed as an album

2) Add ability to caption each picture. Preferably getting this from the metadata title and/or description field. Perhaps it could be displayed in place of where the file path is displayed now in the lightbox, and be customizable (font, alignment, etc.)

Actually, if anyone knows how I can implement these things right now I'd be very grateful

There's an error: coildn't load file or assembly "NotesForGallery"

This is really cool, I love it. Great work =)

I have one question for you, if you don't mind:

If I open the solution in visual studio(2008) and run the included test website project, everything works perfectly. If I compile the NotesForGallery project's source code to generate a new .dll, the "close" and "play"(for the slideshow) buttons do not appear when I click an image in any of the the three pages (BoxProperties.aspx, Default.aspx, GalleryProperties.aspx) in the test website. I thought that a simple compilation of the project would do, but I've never worked with dlls before, so I probably missed something. Do you mind pointing me in the right direction? I would really appreciate it.

Mohamed, I got the same problem because of the way the assembly is signed. Try downloading the source and compiling it locally without signing it.
Go to sources code:
1.With the project node selected in Solution Explorer, from the Project menu, click Properties (or right-click the project node in Solution Explorer, and click Properties).
2.In the Project Designer, click the Signing tab.
3.Unselect the Sign the assembly check box.
Compile (rebuild) and then bring the dll to your project, reference it and upload it.

I always go for something bottled but that limits your options to beer or smirnoff ice type drinks.  The reason for this is that its the only way to know what you are drinking.  Most hard drinks (whiskey, Vodka, Rum) at clubs are not top quality (I have heard some clubs even use cheap alcohol in top brand bottles) so the day after really hurts.  In any case, after I get tired of hte beer, I go for either a tequila shot (go for the good stuff, not hte cheap stuff) or a scotch/whiskey and red bull. Cheers!

Terra blues, although Scotland Yard in Hoboken is better (but it's technically not in new york, but it's real close to the train).  But, I like blues.  However I don't know much about bars in nyc, except you can't smoke in any of them and they're all expensive.
